We handed over the keys to Shobavati in May itself even though painting/plumbing/electrical work etc were not complete, as she (a widow) and her son were staying in a temporary shed. More over, second wave of pandemic had started by then and we wanted them to move to a safe place before the rainy season. I thought of sending the updates only after all the work is completed and hence the delay. All the remaining work got completed only by end of June , thanks to the lock down.
Dear Fr Wilfred,Sr Saphalya and Sr Jytohis, We can't thank you enough for all the effort you took to make this happen that too during the lock down. I think you have sent me an update pretty much every single day. I know Fr has taken personal loan to cover up for the extra expenses that was incurred because of the higher labor charges and higher material cost because of lock down. Also got to know from sisters that you yourself did the plumbing and electrical work to reduce the cost which had already crossed our planned budget. You really are such a great inspiration and role model for people like us.
Thanks to Fr and sisters for raising Rs 97,000/- from your side.
Thanks to Praveen Jose(and his sis), Leo, Nikhil, Vineet, Praveen Vijayan and Jacob John (Bibu) for their contribution (71,000 Rs) and 50,000 Rs was taken from our internal fund. I will share a separate post with all the account details.
