Request for a laptop to conduct free online english coaching | Tamalpur (Assam)

As you know, we have been working closely with Fr Augustine from last 4 years.  Here's a request from Augustine achan asking for one laptop for conducting free online English classes for college going students in Tamalpur Assam. I enquired for a second hand laptop and these are the configurations/quotes that I got so far.

Dell Latitude 5490 8th Gen , Core i5 8th Gen, 8GB DDR4,256GB SSD, Windows 11, 14 Inch Display Price 25,000 Rs (yet to negotiate, he said its unused)

Lenovo L460, ThinkPad (Busines edition) Intel i5 6gen, 8gb ram, 250gb SSD, good battery backup    Price 18,000 Rs (yet to negotiate, used one)

 

Gas Stove for Akashaparavakal

Akashaparavakal's existing gas stove stopped functioning and they requested whether we can buy a gas stove for them. We bought it and gave it to them using external fund.

 

One month's medical expenses | Akashaparavakal

Got a request from Akashaparavakal for buying one month's medicine for the inmates. We bought it and gave it to them using external funding. The bill amount was 14,615 /- Thanks Cindu chechi for the help.

School fees for all the 18 girls @ Snehasadan for the academic year 2022-2023

New academic year of Anugraha School (Bidar, North Karnataka) has started last month. As per the commitment that we gave in April, we will be taking care of the school expenses of ALL the kids at Snehasadan boarding from this academic year.  18 children have joined the boarding now and all of them are from a very poor background. 

2nd term school fees | Savio & Sales

Santy is a heart patient and she stays near Riya's place (Chakkaraparambu). Her Husband abandoned her few years back and she is not able to go to work because of her heart condition (had a major block). Her aged father (80+) also stays with them.

Fans in the dining area | Akashaparavakal

Akashapravakals requested for 3 fans in the dining area last summer (March 2022). We got it and delivered the same weekend. Thanks to Cindu chechi for funding it.Total cost was Rs 6900/- (2300 * 3).

As you are aware, we have been working with Dina Sevana Sabha (Servants of the Poor) and Anugraha school (Bidar, North Karnataka) since almost an year on few initiatives including the house construction for a widow and couple of others.
