Good news !! All the inmates @ Akashaparavakla are getting sufficient hot water for bathing after we installed the new 500 LPD solar water heater (Installation was done on 10th December 2019 and plumbing was done by 12th December) ! It was not easy otherwise for the inmates, especially since they are old and most of them are physically very weak.
Thanks to Regu, Ananth and Sandeep for the contributing towards the cause. Total expense was Rs 43,500/-. We got 28K from Regu, Ananth and Sandeep and rest from our internal fund (12K + 2.5K plumbing + 800 Rs servicing existing solar)!

I would like to give a big shout out to Mr Nazeem, who is the owner of Kamati Solar. He not only gave the best price , but also was personally there at the site starting from site inspection till the installation was complete. It was a big challenge (and very risky too) for him and his team to carry all the parts all the way up as we couldn't take it through the stairs. He had to hire additional 2-3 people and had to cut the Iron grill/mesh to finally make it happen. Most heartwarming part was when I offered to pay the additional expenses of 3K, he said that's his contribution towards this cause !!! Thank you Nazeem Sir !
