Jisso is my friend (we go to the same church). When I came to know about a similar initiative that he and his friends are doing, I had told him about our initiative and I had requested him to inform about genuine cases.
They have already raised 1 lakh for Baby Antonietta and now they need another 53K to buy a medical equipment. Please see the mail below and the link for more details. I can 100 % guarantee that it's a genuine case and I will go personally to hand over the amount/equipment in case we decide to go ahead with this.

This is a very genuine case which we verified personally and the baby is in Hospital since late April. .She need machine support to breathe for another year or so.

As I mentioned , I can confirm it's 100 % genuine and I think we should help. I or one of our guys in Bangalore will meet the parents/kid personally if we agree to go ahead with this.

No. This is referred by a friend of mine whose friend was supporting this family since this child's birth. Later when it become beyond his capacity, he approached us. He lives nearby to this family.
I am not sure this has come in news Paper or not. chances Manorama covering it is minimal as they are not malayalees.. but i am not sure about it.
Just before sending you the mail, i spoke to him and he didnt got any support yet to buy these machines. He was worried that he cant get the discharge without this machines.
If anyone of you want to talk to him directly and clarify, i can pass his number

Got go ahead from Sreeju, Nirmal and Shyju as well... We are proceeding with this case as they can't get the kid discharged unless they purchase these equipment.... I will pay for it now and Shyju will later transfer it to me.... I will keep you posted.....

ReplyDeleteUpdate - Since we are going to buy the equipment, we are collecting some additional details :
ReplyDeleteThe whole sale shop from they gave the earlier quote will not provide any support. So, they will have to run around every time when there is an issue with the equipment
We have taken a quote from another shop @ Jayanagar. They are not only giving a slightly lesser price, but also waiving off the tax. Most importantly, their support team go to their home in case there are any issues with the equipment.
We also need to see whether this equipment needs any power backup and things like that. We will finalize it today and will buy the equipment today or tomorrow itself
I think they will discharge the baby today and hospital has agreed to give the oxygen cylinders and all for 1 week. These massive cylinders needs to be replaced every two days. So, we are trying to wind this up this week end itself
