Anto,
As we have discussed earlier, we the
Sisters made a survey of our locality. We happened to talk with a girl who was
studying a few kilometers away from her home. Her name is Chandana. She is
promoted to 8th Class with II nd rank. She is very studious and also
very good in co-curricular activities.
When we spoke to her mother about
her studies she opined that it is difficult for them to send her for her high
school studies.
Her father is working as a
sweeper in a hospital. She does not go for work due to her ill-health. At
present father and mother are separated. So we thought of admitting her in our
School as you suggested.
Please check with your group and
let me know your thoughts. Awaiting to
get a favorable reply from you here. I
am sending the details of the fee structure of our School for a student in STD.VIII.

As you
know, Since our school is located in a village, there is no bus available for the students to reach the school. Hence, the students come to our school either by bus, van or other private vehicles. The school bus fee is Rs.9900/. As you mentioned, I will check with her mother whether
she can pay this and we will consider giving a concession. As I mentioned, we have waived off the
admission fees (Rs, 10,000) for this
girl.

ReplyDeleteLet's do it. Let's support the child for her studies at least till 10th std. I am okay for supporting her till 12th as well.

Yes ! We should probably continue this till 12th if her financial situation is like this. We supported the kid from Hassan (Dheenu) for 2 years (9th and 10th). Will definitely meet Sr and the child in this academic year for sure.

ReplyDeleteSince all of agreed that we have to help Chandana, I have conveyed the same to Sr Rosemary. Sr has told to hand over the amount in cash when ever any one of us go to Mysore and she will give the receipts for the same. Chandana has already joined Presentation school and we will get periodic feedback about her studies going forward ! Thanks !!!
