Christmas Kit for 20 kids (Matha High School, Mannampetta)

Last December, we provided Christmas kits to 20 children from financially struggling backgrounds at Matha High School, Mannampetta, Thrissur. Each kit included a month's worth of essential groceries, along with a cake and festive goodies to bring them some holiday cheer.

This initiative was funded from our internal fund. The request came in at the last minute, but after a quick discussion with Shyju, we decided to go ahead and make it happen. It was heartwarming to see the joy it brought to the children, and we hope to continue such efforts in the future.

Total amount came to Rs 22,113 /- (20663 + 1450 cake). Around 1100 Rs per kit.

CMS LP/School IJK - Bench/Desks delivered

Delivered benches/desks to CMS LP School Iringhalakkuda last week and school organized a small inauguration function in the presence of parents, teachers , ward councillor, priest and few others.  

We got 3 estimates through School for making benches/desks and all were on the higher side. Finally, we got it done directly, with the help of Francis mash of Matha high school Mannampetta. The total cost for  9 benches and 9 desks is 60,000 Rs.

Got this request through my cousin and its a genuine case. I spoke to Shiji teacher who is the headmistress of the school and then she sent me this message below. She also got few estimates (attached below) and I found it to be expensive. I have requested my cousin who teaches in Matha High shcool Mannampetta to get few more quotes and requested his help in sourcing and delivering this.

1st term school fees | Savio & Sales (Academic year 2024-2025)

 We had helped Savio (now 10th grade) and Sales (now 6th grade) 2 years back (2nd term fees for the Academic year 2022-2023).

Their mom, Santy is a heart patient. Her Husband abandoned her few years back and she is not able to go to work because of her heart condition (had a major block). Her aged father (80+) also stays with them.

Financial support for a nursing student | Request from Sr Rose Mary

 Dear Anto & friends,

Hope all are happy and doing good. This is Sr. Rose Mary here. I am working in Gujarat for the past 3 years. 

I get all your updates on all the work that you render to the under privileged children and families from Anto. I really thank God for such generosity and willingness that you show to uplift the downtrodden.

Now I request you to extend your generosity to a girl who is aspiring to be a nurse. Miss. Jibina is from a very poor family. Family cannot take loan as they don't have any  land/property. Her father works as a daily wager. Mother is unhealthy to go for work.

Her parents enquired about the possibility of enrolling her for nursing in Kerala and Karnataka. It costs more than 5 lakhs to complete the course.

That's when they came to know from a known sources about few hospitals run by sisters in Germany, who helps underprivileged girls, they are ready to teach them in their nursing schools in Germany. Candidates must be good in German language before they reach Germany. After reaching there, candidate will be given part time job which will enable them to cope up with their studies. So, they decided to pursue that as they need not spend anything further.

At present she is studying German language with the help of few well wishers like you.

Now they need financial support for booking tickets and for visa charges. I request your generosity to support this girl.

Adjustable cot/bed for Akashaparavakal

Akashapravakal needs one Fowler bed (head and knee adjustable),  as one of the resident is bedridden now. Sr Elishamma called me this morning and requested whether we can buy it for them. I checked with few vendors and I got a quote from a reliable vendor. Its 18,000 Rs (Manual one) and he will give life long support.  This is the picture that he shared.

Financial assistance to avoid seizure/auction of house of two students

Abel KR (6th Grade) and Joval KR (4th grade) are the students of Matha HS , Mannampetta (Thrissur).  Their mom committed suicide couple of years back and dad sells water melons on the roadside.
