A New School, Another Opportunity to Help - St. Joseph’s Higher Secondary School, Velupadam, Thrissur

After hearing about our grocery-support initiative at Matha High School, Mannampetta, St. Joseph’s Higher Secondary School, Velupadam, Thrissur, has approached us seeking similar support for its students.

The school is the sole educational institution serving children in the hilly region of Varandarappilly Panchayat. Many of its students come from economically disadvantaged families, including children of rubber-tapping workers and daily-wage labourers. The teachers already do their best to support these children, but the need for assistance remains significant.

The Headmaster has requested support in the form of monthly grocery kits containing essential household provisions for deserving families.

₹10,000 can support 10 families for one month

If you would like to sponsor one month's grocery support for 10 children/families, the approximate requirement is ₹10,000.

You can sponsor one month, multiple months, or even commit to supporting a month each year. The initiative is intended to be ongoing and recurring every year, so your support can make a difference beyond just one month's distribution.

തൃശ്ശൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ വരന്തിരപ്പിള്ളി ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തിലെ വേലുപ്പാടം സെന്റ് ജോസഫ്   ഹൈസ്കൂളിൽനിന്ന് വിവിധ ക്ലാസുകളിൽ നിന്നായി പത്തോളം  പേരെയാണ് കിറ്റുകൾ വഴിയുള്ള കൈത്താങ്ങിനായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിട്ടുള്ളത്. 

 വേലുപ്പാടം,പാലപ്പിള്ളി, എച്ചിപ്പാറ,പുലിക്കണ്ണി, നടാൻപാടം, കാരിക്കുളം, കള്ളായി എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നാണ് കുട്ടികളിൽ അധികവും സ്കൂളിലെത്തുന്നത്. കുട്ടികളുടെ മാതാപിതാക്കളിൽ അധികവും ടാപ്പിംഗ് തൊഴിലാളികളും കൂലിപ്പണിക്കാരും ആണ്. അന്നത്തെ ഉപജീവനമാർഗ്ഗം  കണ്ടെത്താൻ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുന്നവരും ആണ്. അച്ഛൻ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു പോയവർ,  അരികുവത്ക്കരിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ, വീട്ടുവേല ചെയ്യുന്ന അമ്മമാർ ഉള്ളവർ തുടങ്ങി സാമ്പത്തികമായി വളരെ പിന്നോക്കം നിൽക്കുന്ന കുട്ടികളിൽ നിന്നാണ് പത്തോളം പേരെ  തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിട്ടുള്ളത്. അതിൽ തന്നെ ഓട്ടിസം, ഇൻഡലക്ച്വൽ ഡിസബിലിറ്റീസ് തുടങ്ങിയവ ബാധിച്ച കുട്ടികളുടെ വീടുകളും ഉൾപ്പെടും.
