Brief Report of Celebrations and Achievements
The important celebrations included:
Environment Day (27th June 2024): Saplings were planted in the boarding campus in collaboration with SHG members from ORBIT, Humnabad. In observance of Environment Day, the children, along with Self-Help Group members from ORBIT (Humnabad), planted saplings within the boarding premises. This activity promoted ecological awareness and responsibility among the children.
Monthly Offering for the Missions (Missionary Childhood Association (MCA))
Every month, children collect a small offering from their savings, which is joyfully donated to support poor and needy children. These contributions are a symbol of their love and solidarity with less privileged children.
Acts of Service
The MCA (Missionary Childhood Association) group also takes up visits to the sick, especially those in the boarding or nearby localities. During these visits, children offer prayers for healing, sing hymns, and show love and compassion by spending time with the sick. This has helped the children develop empathy and the joy of serving others.
The MCA group of Halbarga is growing in faith and service. Through monthly prayers, offerings, visits to the sick, and missionary activities, the children are truly living the MCA motto: “Children Helping Children.” The involvement of sisters in charge in guiding the group has made it a vibrant and spiritually enriching movement for the children.
