I have been following the struggles of Parvathy’s family with Jinesh's help, and their situation has only worsened with heartbreaking losses. With Parvathy and Nidhin’s passing, three young girls are now orphaned, and the eldest, Dhivya, is trying to rebuild their lives.
To help her start a livelihood, we are looking to arrange a sewing machine setup (costing around 15-20K) so she can work from home. Given their circumstances, I believe we must come together to support them.
We first helped them during covid time by giving tabs so that they could attend the online classes.

Dear Antony,
This mail concerns the need for support for an unfortunate tribal family from Marayur near Munnar. Let me give some background on this case.
In July 2020, we supported Parvathy's family by giving them a tab to enable four children to attend online classes. Parvathy was a widow, and she was struggling to raise her four children (Nidhin, Dhiya, Kavya and Navya); thus, we selected this family because of their miserable conditions. Later, we received an update from Parvathy that Nidhin cleared 10th; subsequently, after understanding their situation, we recommended Nithin to join ITI, and he joined ITI and started his post-metric education. After six months, Parvathy was diagnosed with cancer. Subsequently, the elder children (Dhivya and Nidhin) discontinued their education to take care of the family and mother's cancer treatment at Kottayam Medical College.
In September 2024, we received a shocking update that Nidhin had passed away. The illness started with a headache, and suddenly, his situation became worse. They shifted him to Kottayam Medical College, but he succumbed to fate. Exactly after one month, on the day of Nidhin's rituals, Parvathy also passed away. In short, In October 2024, 3 girls became orphans. Navya was studying in 11th grade, and she also discontinued her education. Now, the youngest kid, Kavya (7th std) alone, is going to school. Now Dhivya, the eldest girl, has to lead the family, so she expressed her interest in learning to tailoring, and we supported her. She completed her stitching course. Now, she has to find a job or start tailoring at home. We planned to find a job for her at Kitex or some similar established garment unit, but it didn't materialize.
At this stage, I request your team to support this unfortunate family. It would be great if you could provide them with a sewing machine setup to enable her to start tailoring at home. Considering their condition, they require a sewing machine which can work with or without electricity. It would cost between 15 to 20K. Please let me know the possibilities of helping this family.
Their family details are already shared in Google Drive. Pic take during online class support[2020-July]
