വരെയെത്തിക്കുന്ന പദ്ധതിയിലേയ്ക്ക് അലനെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തതിന്റെ
സന്തോഷത്തിലായിരുന്നു എല്ലാവരും. കാലാകാലം മുഴുവന്‍ ചിലവുകളും (10 ലക്ഷം
വരെ!) അവര്‍ വഹിക്കുമായിരുന്നു. പ്രശസ്തനായ കായികാധ്യാപകന്‍ തോമസ് മാഷ്
ഇപ്പോള്‍ സേവനം ചെയ്യുന്ന വണ്ണപ്പുറം SNM സ്കൂളിലേയ്ക്ക് അതിനായി അഡ്മിഷന്‍
കിട്ടുകയും ചെയ്തു. പക്ഷെ 2004- 2005 കാലത്ത് ജനനം എന്നോമറ്റോ ചില
വ്യവസ്ഥകള്‍ സംഘടന നിര്‍വ്വചിച്ചതോടെ അലന്റെ sponsoring ഇല്ലാതായി. ആ
കുടുംബം ആകെ നിരാശയിലാണ്. മാസം തോറും 3000 രൂപ അടയ്ക്കാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍
തോമസ് മാഷിന്റെ കീഴില്‍ അവിടെത്തന്നെ ഇതേ ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെ മറ്റ്
കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കൊപ്പം നമുക്ക് അലനെ പഠിപ്പിക്കാം. എന്താണ് അഭിപ്രായം ?

ReplyDeleteSpoke to Eby who brought this case to my friend's (Abin) attention. Eby is social worker. Abin has very high regard for Eby.
ReplyDeleteAs per Eby, Alan is very talented. They need support for school expenses. There are other expenses like expenses for sports events, equipments. Alan's mother is confident of making that money from her work. Not sure how. School will sponsor Alan's sports expenses if he wins any of first 3 places in tournaments. Payment is to be done to Alan's mother's account. Eby does not get involved in financial matters. He usually connects the people. He will provide updates every 3 months. Another ask was to call Alan before sports events to give encouragement.
Let me know if we can proceed.

DeleteWhat about making a direct transfer to school account? If that is not possible, we can make the payment directly to mother's account and ask them to get a receipt from school once they make the payment @ school.
DeleteSpoke to Eby today. The money is for enrolling Alan for training under Thomas Sir for sports. This is a Govt. school. An NRI group has adopted the school and hired Thomas Sir for training. So school does not direct relation on sports activities. He suggested to transfer to mother's account on monthly basis.

ReplyDeleteSpoke to Alan's father (Mr Benny) today. He is not working currently after heartattack/angioplast. Got Thomas master's number from Mr Benny and spoke to him today. Thomas master has shared his account details.

Alan's dad (Mr Benny) called just now to convey that he had gone to school to meet Thomas sir (Sports in charge) and sir confirmed that money has been credited to his account. So, lets continue to transfer on a monthly basis..

ReplyDeleteAlan got home sick and moved out of hostel within a month of joining. He was shifted to another school where he continues to practice for sports.
I was not informed about this and Chacko Sir used the fund that we sent for another kid with similar background. There is lack of clarity on whether the persons (Abin, Eby) who brought this case to was aware of switch in use of funds.
To reduce further communications, I asked Abin to deal with this and refund the money.
